Hey Howdy Hey Kathy and welcome to planDisney!
It's so exciting to have your trip booked and to know that your Disney countdown is on! One of the more exciting parts about your trip is the next phase of planning out your dining reservations for any table service locations you may way to try as well as looking into specific attractions you want to experience. Before I get too far ahead of myself, let's talk about linking your reservation to your
My Disney Experience account and making your Theme Park Reservations.
The first thing you will need to link your reservation to your My Disney Experience account would be a Walt Disney World confirmation number. You may get this from AAA or this might come from a different email, but that number would be the one you are looking for. If you continue to have difficulties, you might want to reach out to AAA to get some guidance on the specifics of which number to use to link to your account as they should be able to guide you with those specifics.
Once you do have the right confirmation number, you can plug it into your My Disney Experience account to link your reservation. From your home screen, hover over the hotel icon until you see two options come up, one that states "Link Reservation". Click on that link and follow the prompts and you should be all set!
Now that you have your reservation linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can now make your
Theme Park Reservations from your account as well. You can do this from your home screen by hovering over the ticket icon. A couple of buttons should pop up with one saying "Make Theme Park Reservations". Click on that one and you should be set to make the reservations you need for the days you are wanting.
There is so much happening in Walt Disney World right now and in the very near future with the continued celebration of their 50th Anniversary. One of the bigger things many in the Disney community are watching out for is any information on TRON: Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom. This and so many other things you may be able to experience with your trip in January, but the one place to keep up with all the goings-on in Walt Disney World is over at
Disney Parks Blog. They will be sure to have updates on all the big news and any changes happening throughout the parks and resorts and is a great place for all things Disney news!
Best of luck over the next phase of planning your upcoming trip. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
