Welcome to planDisney, Brian! Securing a
placeholder for a future cruise is something I do before I even leave port to make sure I do not forget to take advantage of this amazing offer. Then I can enjoy the current cruise and know another one is in my future.
Like you, I cannot wait to cruise the
Disney Treasure in 2025. I have learned from my own experience, you cannot add the onboard-only booking offer to an existing reservation. One possible workaround is to cancel your existing reservation and book a new one with the placeholder; however, you will want to check the current rates to see if this would result in cost savings. Do not cancel your cruise without knowing the price difference, as rates change and the placeholder savings will be applied to a new reservation, booked at the current rates. If you are considering this, I would highly recommend talking it through with your travel agent if you used one or calling
Disney Cruise Line directly and getting assistance. You do not want to cancel an existing reservation without clearly knowing what to expect with a new booking.
If you want to stay up-to-date with all the announcements and reveals with the Disney Treasure, be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates, like the first look at the
Moana show. I read everything I find, and I am so excited about the themed staterooms, restaurants and stage shows. It will be a time to Treasure for sure.
Happy sailing on both the Fantasy and the Treasure. Having two reservations appear in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App is its own kind of exhilaration.
If you have any other questions as you plan for these or any other cruise or Disney resort vacation,
planDisney is here for you.
Cheers,
Jana
