Hi Lindsey, and a warm, pixie-dusted welcome to planDisney!
I love that you’re already planning next year’s magical adventure! That’s half the fun, isn’t it? And adding a
Disney Dining Plan is like sprinkling a little extra magic on top of an already delicious trip. I love having that pre-booked, budget-balancing, piece checked off the list that the DDP offers!
Since you already have your
Disney Resort hotel reservation, the easiest way to add a dining plan is to modify your vacation package. If your current booking includes theme park tickets, you can usually make the change right in your
My Disney Experience account. Just find your reservation, select “Change Reservation,” and follow the prompts to add the dining plan that best suits your family’s style (I’m personally a big fan of not having to think twice about where my next Mickey-shaped snack is coming from).
If you booked a room-only reservation, you’ll need to upgrade it to a vacation package to add the dining plan. In that case, or if the online option isn’t showing up, a quick call to the friendly Cast Members at the
Disney Reservation Center will be the way to go. They’re the best at waving their “digital wands” and helping you make that modification as easy as bibbidi, bobbidi, boo!
And here’s a little extra planning tip from someone who’s been there more than a few times: adding the dining plan early lets you relax and savor every bite of your trip without constantly pulling out your wallet. It’s like pre-planning your snacks and meals with a side of magic!
So, hEARs to churros,
character breakfasts, and maybe a Dole Whip (or three)! I hope your upcoming trip is filled with magical bites and unforgettable memories! And if you need any extra planning tips or maybe some restaurant suggestions, you know where to find us!
See ya real soon,
Emille
