Ahoy, Karen!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I’m sorry the website is giving you a little trouble while you’re trying to lock in those vacation plans, but the good news is this actually sounds like you and your crew are just a bit ahead of the game. You’re basically trying to board the monorail before the station opens. The magic is coming, just not quite yet!
Taking advantage of
Disney’s ground transfers from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to
Port Canaveral is such a smooth way to start your cruise vacation, so I completely understand wanting to get everything booked early. It just so happens that Disney has not yet released the ground transportation options and pricing for 2027 sailings, which is why you’re getting that error message when you try to add it to your reservation.
While I don’t have Doctor Strange’s Time Stone to tell you the exact date those transfers will appear, they are usually released sometime around late August to early September. Once those become available, you should be able to go back into your reservation and add the transfers without any issues.
If you try again later this year and the website still decides to act like WALL-E after bumping into the wrong button, I definitely recommend
giving Disney Cruise Line a call or using the website chat feature. The Cast Members are fantastic at helping get everything sorted out and can usually see options that are not always visible online yet.
I hope this helps clear things up and gets your planning headed in the right direction. You’re actually in a great spot by
planning this far ahead, even if the booking system has not caught up quite yet. Before long, you’ll be trading resort views for ocean views as you count down the days until embarkation morning!
Sea ya real soon with warm air, calm seas, and a ship that always feels like home,
Dustin
