Hi there, Jeffrey!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. You are just a few days out from the magic, so let's jump right in to your question.
While typically
ticketed Guests have access to the
Disneyland Monorail from the Downtown Disney Station, it is currently closed for refurbishment until March 7th, 2025. I know that's not the pixie dusted news you were hoping for, Jeffrey! I confirmed with a Cast Member that since it is considered within walking distance, alternative transportation is not currently offered. I truly wish I had better news to share!
The one perk of this situation may be getting some time to explore all the new offerings in the
Downtown Disney District on your way to and from the Main Entrance Esplanade. This area has been undergoing a grand transformation with some new experiences just opening up in the last few days! The first on my list for my next visit is the reimagined
Wonderful World of Sweets in the former home of Marceline's Confectionery. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to be. You will find pretty much every sugary offering the Disneyland Resort has to offer in this one-stop sweet shop. There's even an exclusive (and adorable!) popcorn bucket - appropriately named Poppi - which you can only find here.
If you're looking for something more savory or filling, Parkside Market is a unique food hall that just opened its doors and offers an array of choices like
GG's Chicken Shop,
Seoul Sister, and even
Vista Parkside Market for an afternoon cocktail. There's also a beautiful area just next to Parkside where you can let little Mouseketeers get their energy out or just take a beat from a busy park day yourself. My planDisney pal
Carrie and I found ourselves resting here just this past December. It was a nice, quiet break while feeling like we were still very much in the magic.
Jeffrey, I hope this was helpful in your planning. We're always happy to help our fellow Guests prepare for the magic here at
planDisney.
Enjoy your visit!
Tara
