Hi Alicia! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
I see that you have a Walt Disney World vacation lined up for the Fall of this year. I love visiting during this time of year, mostly for the decorations that line Main Street, U.S.A. and the
Magic Kingdom Park! Halloween is in full form by the beginning of October and there will be many festivities to be a part of. Also, be on the lookout for any Fall treats and snacks you’ll find at each of the theme parks and resorts. You can usually find a list of goodies either on the
Disney Parks Blog or on the
Walt Disney World website.
Since your lodging has already been taken care of, the next step is to secure your park tickets and park reservations for your visit. Your
ticket purchase will need to be paid for in full at the time of the sale. These tickets are also nontransferable and nonrefundable, although you can change the dates on the tickets if your plans change.
Park reservations will need to be made to visit any of the four theme parks. Once you purchase your tickets, you will be able to make these reservations using your
My Disney Experience account.
If you need some time to save for the ticket purchase, I suggest holding off buying them for a few months. Your visit is still over eight months away, so this will give you time to build up the funds needed for the purchase. I would however keep an eye on the
park reservation availability calendar for the dates you plan to visit. Availability is constantly changing, so if the dates leading up to your visit start to fill, this may be a good sign to move forward with the purchase.
Currently, there are no dining add-on options to any ticket offerings. The
Disney Dining Plan has been temporarily unavailable since the phased reopening and there is no return date just yet. You will have the choice to add the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets, which will allow you to visit multiple theme parks on the same day. There is also a Water Park and Sports Option, which gives you access to spend multiple days in any operating Disney Water Park or play a round of golf at one of the pristine Disney Golf Courses.
Alicia, I hope this helps you in the planning process! Have a magical time on your upcoming stay!
See ya real soon!
