Hi. Are you aloud to take in sun shelter tents for children to the water parks ??

Hello Paul and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
As the current British Mum here on the Panel it's always an extra pleasure for me to be able to offer some pixie dusted assistance to another family who also visit the magic and wonder of Walt Disney World Resort from the United Kingdom.
The sunshine State of Florida is perfectly named due to it's almost year-round fine weather and warm temperatures which are some of the many various reasons why us Brits love to spend our jolly holidays there and if there's one thing my family truly enjoys during our Disney holidays it's spending quality time together at either of the splashtastic Disney water parks - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park!
I'm happy to say that after speaking on your behalf with a knowledgable Cast Member at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Guest Relations I can confirm that Guests may indeed bring their own small sun shelters with them into either Disney Water Park with Cast Member discretion during days that are less crowded or when the water parks are not expected to reach capacity.
I'm also a shade seeker and thought it may be useful for you to know that during past trips I've sought some welcome shade by hiring a Getaway Glen Umbrella or Beachcomber Shack at Typhoon Lagoon or a Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach. Plus I also thought you may find this recent Disney Parks Blog - Moms Panel Monday - Must-Do Tips for Disney Water Parks and the Walt Disney World Resort Rules to be extra useful planning resources for your upcoming holiday.
