Aloha, Janet! I'm so glad you found the line where the sky meets the sea and followed it here to planDisney! I'm so glad to hear that you're making plans to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth for the first time. I would love to help you get started!
You are correct, there are offers for Disney+ Subscribers as well as U.S. Military Members. The Special Offers for U.S. Military Members are available to Eligible Service Members - this means active, retired, or 100% disabled members of the military. If these qualifications apply to your family, then you may be able to purchase
Disney Military Salute Tickets from your local base or through Shades of Green. As a military spouse, I like to purchase our tickets through
Shades of Green because they arrive activated and ready to be used. No matter which way you purchase your Disney Military Salute Tickets, you'll want to do two things:
link your tickets to your account, then immediately make your Theme Park Reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system. Take a peek at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see which parks are available during your trip! Eligible Service Members are also offered
great rates on select Disney Resorts Collection hotels. All you need to do is call (407) 939-7830 and speak to a Cast Member to see which Disney Resort hotels are available during your desired dates! Pro tip: if you're able, try to be flexible on which Disney Resort hotel you'd like to stay at, as well as your dates. Sometimes just shifting your dates slightly can open up a whole new world of possibilities!
However, you may decide that an offer for a
Disney+ Subscriber might be a better fit for you! In order to take advantage of this deal, you need to log in with the email that's connected with your Disney+ account. Again, you may find new offerings pop up if you are able to shift your dates by a day or two!
Either way, the first steps you will want to take are to book your Disney Resort hotel, secure your theme park tickets, then make your
Theme Park Reservations. You will need to book your flight separately and are welcome to use your preferred airline.
Once you've taken these steps, I have a few more tips for you! You may want to make a couple of
advance dining reservations for some restaurants during your trip. However, table service restaurants aren't the only way to enjoy incredible food at Walt Disney World Resort. I personally think that some of the best food is available at
counter service locations! In fact, many of these locations offer the ability to
mobile order food through the
My Disney Experience app. Take some time to download and explore everything that this app has to offer before your arrival!
