I'm so excited for you and your family to visit Disneyland Resort in just a few days! First-time visits are so special--especially during the Holidays. Be sure to stop by a Guest Relations or retail shop across both Theme Parks to pick up a complimentary "1st Visit!" button for your sons.

Regarding your question, unfortunately, it appears that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closed for refurbishment until Friday, December 13, 2024. While refurbishment calendars are subject to change, and an attraction can be open earlier, it's not guaranteed. I apologize if this is not the answer you were expecting. Keep an eye on the Hours & Events Calendar online or via the Disneyland App for the most up-to-date information.

Fortunately, you can count on experiencing Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park during your visit. This thrilling musical journey down the bayou is the newest attraction at the resort. If you plan on purchasing the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your visit, it is available as a Lightning Lane attraction!
