Aloha, Moms! We're staying at POFQ this December. How long are the walks to Riverside? Thinking of Boatwright's for dinner the night we arrive. Also, how long are the ferry rides to Downtown Disney? You guys are awesome, thanks for all your advice!

    Hi Valerie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!  Also thank you for the compliment on the panel.  All of us enjoy helping guests plan their magical vacations!

It is about a 15 minute walk between Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside.  It's a nice walk, though it can be a long walk, especially on a hot and humid summer day!  You can also take a boat that runs between both resorts.  Boats generally arrive about every 15 minutes.

You definitely want to do the ride to Downtown Disney.  It is a lot of fun, especially at night.  It takes a little bit less than 20 minutes for the trip from French Quarter.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
