Aloha, Our ohana is staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge this October & we had our hearts set on the Wanyama Safari Tour. Problem is kids need to be age 8 & our daughter will only be 7 (she turns 8 in December). Is WDW flexible on these sort of rules?

    Aloha, Keith!

Disney sometimes restricts its Guest experiences by age or height  to ensure that all who participate are safe and comfortable. This might be due to equipment size, amount of time spent walking, difficulty in maneuvering an environment, duration of tour, etc.

Because they are meant to protect the safety of its Guests, Disney tends to adhere carefully to its policies, even if that means risking disappointing its vacationers. As a Guest-focused destination, Walt Disney World does everything in its power to maintain a safe and fun environment for travelers.

You can always explain your situation in person to the Cast Member who is responsible for running the tour. If your daughter demonstrates that the restriction does not apply to her, the Cast member might be able to arrange something with his/her managers at his/her discretion. There are absolutely no guarantees, however, since this is working within safety guidelines.

    See you later, celebrator,
