Aloha, my girlfriend is the ticket holder and it’s linked to her account. I wanted to use my Disney band for my lightning pass but it is linked to my Disney account. How do I go about linking my lightning pass (if possible at all)?

Aloha, Aj! We are thrilled to have you stop by planDisney with your question for us!

I am excited that you and your girlfriend are planning a visit to Disneyland soon. I love that you are already planning on using Lightning Lanes to make the most of your trip and that you even have a MagicBand already, too! You sound like a pro! First, I want to make sure you know that only MagicBand+ devices work at Disneyland Resort. Second, Lightning Lane Single or Multi Pass is actually connected to your ticket. So, if your girlfriend has the tickets on her account, but your MagicBand+ is linked to your account, the easiest solution would be to add your ticket to your account. A ticket can be linked to more than one account, so all you will need to do is get the ticket number or scan the barcode from your girlfriend's phone through the Disneyland app to link it to your account as well. From there, you can link the MagicBand+ to your ticket. If you have trouble linking these, I recommend reaching out to Guest Services either by calling, chatting, or in person once you arrive at Disneyland Resort.

Be sure to check out the Food & Wine Festival if you're visiting both parks during your visit. Not only is there great food and drinks to enjoy, but one of my favorite things about this festival is that Soarin' Over California is back during the festival!

Aj, thanks so much for stopping by! See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
