Aloha! My family and I are starting to ;plan a vacation to Disney's Aulani this March. what is the difference in the villas and rooms? The rooms are more expensive, which seems counterintuitive. There will be 4 adults, what do you suggest. Thank you!

    Hi Danielle,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, is absolutely beautiful.  How exciting to be planning a trip to this fabulous resort!

There is great information about both the standard hotel rooms and suites as well as the villas at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, on their website at the links I provided.  With four adults, you can fit into nearly any of the accommodations.  By clicking on the standard hotel room and the deluxe studio on the website, you can do a good comparison of the two.  The square footage is quite similar, with the standard hotel room at 382 and the deluxe studio at 356.  In the standard hotel room, you will have two queen beds or a kind bed and a queen sleeper sofa; whereas in a deluxe studio you will have one queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa.  The deluxe studios have slightly more kitchenette equipment, with a small refrigerator and microwave, while the standard hotel room has an in-room beverage cooler.  If you are choosing between the standard hotel room and deluxe villa, they are fairly similar.  I suggest that you look at the list of amenities for each listed on the website to see if there are any differences other than the ones that I listed that are important to you.  If there are not, you can probably use cost as your deciding factor.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Danielle.  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
