We are going with our almost 3 year old the beginning of August. We can bring a good quality umbrella stroller or our BOB jogger. Thoughts? BOB is easier to maneuver, has better shading ability and a deeper incline, but is obviously a lot larger.

    Hi Joseph:

I like that you are thinking ahead.  I have two boys, ages 8 and 7, who have been traveling to Walt Disney World since they were infants.  When they were almost three year olds, a quality stroller was an essential item for our trip since there is so much walking at Walt Disney World.  Plus, a quality stroller provided a great napping spot for them.

You'll definitely want an easy to maneuver stroller, so from your two options, I would strongly recommend your BOB jogger, particularly if it also easily folds up.  You'll need to fold up your stroller if you plan to use Disney transportation to get around property to the parks and your resort.

To add a third option into the mix, my family used a local Orlando stroller-rental service, orlandostrollerrentals.com. They are familiar working with Disney World guests and conveniently deliver and pick up the stroller right from your resort.

In short, I would bring the most comfortable stroller you can, so long as it's easily transportable (I wouldn't worry that it's "larger," so long as it is easy to maneuver and easily folds up).  Your almost three year old will be spending some time in there, so you might as well make it a comfortable ride.

    Enjoy your vacation.
