Character Dining with Donald Duck

    i am almost at my 60 day window to book dining reservations. We are a party of 5 adults and 2 children under 3. When i make the reservations am i doing it for a party of 7 or do i just put the 5 adults?

     Welcome to planDisney, Jeanine. I'm just so excited to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this October! You're sure to Fall into Magic.

     One of my favorite things to do on a Disney vacation is EAT. And with over 300 dining locations at the Walt Disney World Resort to choose from, there are certainly lots of options! I always try to book one reservation at a Table-Service restaurant for each day of our stay. These sit-down meals give us the chance to put our feet up amid our pixie-dusted adventures in the theme parks, and they frame some time for us to chat about the unique experiences we're having together. 

     I'm glad you're prepping for your 60-day reservation window ahead of time. There are plenty of fan-favorite restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort that are hard to secure a reservation for - the sooner you check for availability, the better luck you'll have! To answer your question, you'll need to make dining reservations for a party 7. It's always important to include everyone in your travel party on your dining reservations, even if you have some tiny Mouseketeers with you!

     I highly recommend booking at least one Character Dining Experience during your stay. What I love about these extra-fun meals is that my kids can enjoy delicious food and the company of beloved Disney Characters, all in one place! I also love that children under the age of 3 can eat for free at Character Dining locations that feature all-you-care-to-enjoy menus. How great is that?
