Almost at the 50 day mark and am beyond anxious to bring my family for the first time. Staying at POR, have ADR's made, carriage ride set too. Now, what don't I want to forget to pack? Anything out of the ordinary I don't want to forget?

Susan, in less than two months your family will be zooming down Space Mountain, sailing with pirates, and eating Mickey ice cream for the first time!

Packing for a Walt Disney World vacation is similar to preparing for any warm weather destination. Comfortable shoes for walking, swimsuits, sunscreen, shorts, and Mickey t-shirts are the primary items to put in your suitcase. Also consider plastic ponchos in case of an afternoon rainstorm, a cute dress or skirt for a nice dinner, and a few band aids for blisters or skinned knees. Do you have a little princess in your family who loves to play dress up? Then toss in her Belle or Cinderella dress to wear when she meets the Disney princesses. If you are driving pack snacks, water bottles, soda, and quick, easy breakfast items to keep in your room.

Remember almost anything you forget is available in the shops in the parks or at your resort. My house has an inordinate amount of Mickey socks because at least one in my family member seems to forget socks when we go visit the mouse.

Please contact me or any member of the Disney Parks Moms Panel is you have more questions as your arrival day approaches.
