My "almost brave enough" 7 year old has vowed to go in the haunted mansion on this trip. if she makes it through, I would love to purchase a shirt or ear hat for her. Do they have a shirt or hat that says something like I survived the haunted m

    Hi Stefanie,

I love watching my boys grow up at Disney & brave new rides on our trips! Its like going on the rides for the very first time all over again.  You are a mom after my own heart. My DS6 loves Disney Pins so every time he does a new attraction I buy him a pin for that attraction for his collection. On our last trip, he added Space Mountain - woo hoo!

Haunted Mansion is one of my all time favorites & I love the new versions of the hitchhiking ghosts. As you exit through the gates you'll see Madame Leota's gift kiosk on your left that is devoted to Haunted Mansion souvenEARs. They have some really cool shirts, pins & other items. I have seen some Haunted Mansion ear hats there that were super cute! That would be a great place for you to stop and surprise her.

When my boys decided it was time to try Haunted Mansion, I told them that it would be pretty dark inside, nothing was real, nothing would reach out and touch them although there are a couple of things that jump up in the graveyard scene. I also told them that it may be a little loud in a couple of places.  The whole time I "talked" them through it making light hearted comments about different things. They both did great as I'm sure you're daughter will too.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
