We are almost on our way back to Walt Disney world and the time wont go any faster. But this year we wanted to give our son his own money to spend at the parks. How much does the penny presses cost other than the penny? Thank you!

    Hi Sandy,

What a great question!  My daughter also loves to collect the pressed pennies at Walt Disney World.  She has filled one pressed coin collection holder and is on to the second one!

The pressed penny machines cost the penny plus two quarters, so 51 cents total.  I have learned to keep quarters and pennies in my pocket when we are at Walt Disney World!  There are also a few machines which offer pressed quarters.  The price for these is $1.25 - the quarter to be pressed plus four more quarters.

If your son collects these coins a lot, do consider purchasing a pressed coin collection holder.  These are sold at many Walt Disney World merchandise locations, and help to keep the collection organized.  It can also help him to see which coins he already has so that he does not get duplicates.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Sandy.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
