Hello All We will be staying at the All-Star Sports resort in July. We will have a 1 year old and 4 year old we are traveling with. Will we be able to bring life jackets and a pool float to use in the pool for the 1 year old?

Hey there, Theresa, and welcome back to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be staying at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort this summer! As you already know, there's really nothing more magical than a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I'm also very happy to hear that you'll be making good use of your resort pool. July definitely brings the heat in Walt Disney World, so it's always a good idea to make like Dory and just keep swimming! Your visit will be here before you know it, Theresa, so let's dive right in and get to your question!

I've been bringing my kiddos to Disney World since they were babies, and I completely understand the importance of water safety. As a mom, the key to relaxation is knowing that your children are safe and sound, especially around the pool! Fortunately, as per Disney policy, you are welcome to bring Coast Guard-approved life jackets and flotation devices to your resort pool. However, non-Coast Guard-approved flotation devices and pool noodles are prohibited. You should also avoid large rafts, since they can obstruct the lifeguard's view of the pool.

Theresa, I see that you're coming to The Most Magical Place on Earth all the way from sunny California! If you'd like to save some valuable space in those suitcases, you should know that all Disney World resort pools offer complimentary life jackets in a wide range of sizes. My family has never had a problem finding the perfect fit, and we love that we can save some suitcase space for all the magical merchandise we'll want to bring home!

Now, before I go, I want to remind you of a few more ways to stay cool in Disney World this summer! First of all, you should know that as a registered guest at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, you are also welcome to use the pool facilities at its sister resorts. This means your little ones can play and cool off at the splash pad at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort! Designed specifically with our littlest Mouseketeers in mind, this wet and wild play area is perfect for kids who aren't quite ready to swim on their own. Finally, don't forget that your stay qualifies you for the Free Water Park Benefit promotion! This means you'll get free admission to either Disney's Blizzard Beach or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon on check-in day (whichever is open at the time of your visit).

Theresa, I hope you find lots of time to chill out on your upcoming visit to Disney World, and that your stay is full of magic and memories! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find us right here at planDisney!

Catch you on the chilly side,

    Allison
