Hi all!Trying to plan a trip for 2013.I recently got a teaching job so we can only travel to WDW during the busiest times. This will be our 5th trip w/DS9&DD7.Thinking 8-10 days.Is it better to come the end of June or mid-end of Aug but not last wk?

    Hi Diana,

Congratulations on your new job!  Teaching jobs are hard to come by these days so I'm very pleased to hear that your job search was successful.  Good for you!  I'm a teacher in New Jersey too and hope you enjoy teaching in the Garden State as much as I do.

Summer is busy from mid-June to late August at Walt Disney World but I'd be in favor of a June vacation instead of an August vacation.  To me, it seems to get progressively hotter and more humid as the summer continues.  I've been there in both June and August and definitely prefer June.

Whichever month you choose, be sure to pack inexpensive rain ponchos for each member of your family as fast-moving rainstorms happen frequently during the summer months.  You'll save plenty of money if you purchase these ponchos at a local dollar store before you depart for your trip.  They're much more expensive in the theme parks.

Wishing you and your family a magical trip in 2013!  Have a great school year too.
