Hello All, This is our first visit to Disney and travelling from Canada. We arrive on a Wed. evening but don't think we have enough time to visit a theme park. Love to hear any tips on what can be done upon arrival. We are super excited! Ash

    Hi Ashanti,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for sending us your question.  You are going to absolutely love Walt Disney World Resort, it is my family’s favourite place to vacation!

Travel days can be long and tiring, so I think waiting until Thursday to visit a Theme Park is a great idea.  Even without the Theme Park experience, there is still plenty to do!  It is always a good idea to explore your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, there are so many fantastic amenities and activities available for guests that often go underutilzed because we don’t take the time to enjoy the Resort Hotels. There are several pools at each Resort Hotel on Property, as well as arcades and playgrounds.  My daughter and I love to simply walk around and take in the theming and small details around the Resort Hotel, you really can get lost in the decor.  You could also enjoy a meal at your Resort Hotel’s Quick-Serve Dining location.  There are also several options for Table-Service Dining depending on where you are staying.

If you arrive early enough, you could also head to Disney Springs for the evening.  One of my family’s traditions is to always visit Disney Springs on our first day, we love the atmosphere and dining options.  We spend a relaxing day at Disney Spring and have an early night so that we are well rested for the following day in the Theme Parks.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Ashanti.  Please let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your visit, we are always happy to help.
