I have allready booked to stay at a Disney resort and have been looking on the internet and have found some much cheaper deals on better resorts in Disney? What are my options if I want to change? Will I lose all of my deposit on my first pick?

    Hi Valerie,

If you have booked through Walt Disney World directly there should be no problems in changing resorts but since I don't know your time line of your reservation and when you are expected to be traveling all I can do is give you the following information about their cancelation or change policies.

If you have booked a package; the "deposit" or first night's cost is required within the 14 days. However, the entire package must be paid for 21 days prior to arrival (refunds policies on packages vary so be sure to ask what policy applies to your package).

Generally speaking, if you have a room only and cancel no less than five days prior to your arrival date you will receive a full refund. (This five days also applies to the Swan or Dolphin, which are not Disney-operated).  After five days, your refund is at the discretion of the resort and might be prorated.

For more information about your reservation, options available to you or to modify your existing reservation I suggest you call the Walt Disney World reservation line directly at 407-W-DISNEY or 407-934-7639 and have someone who is qualified better to help you with these changes/questions directly.  If you booked your trip through a travel agency, you will have to go through the agency to modify your reservation and hopefully they could be accommodating with these changes in relation to their personal cancelation or change policies.  Good luck! I wish you a magical experience.

    Best wishes,
