Hello All, Planning a trip late 2011 for about 20 (15 adults, 5 kids - 1 1/2 to 16 yrs). Only been once myself - I know I need help! I stayed offsite before and vowed I'd stay onsite next time. Large Party - onsite vs offsite? Onsite seems expensive

Hi Maria! Staying on Disney property is the way to go! With a travel party of 20, you will want to take advantage of the perks of staying on site. Disney's Magical Express, Walt Disney World Transportation to/from Parks and Downtown Disney, Disney Dining Plan and merchandise delivery to your Hotel Resort.

When I planned our Family Trip to Walt Disney World, I planned for us to stay at a Disney Value Resort during Value Season. We were going to save a lot of money by traveling during Value Season. It just so happens, that Disney emailed me a "Special Promotion" - an upgrade to a Moderate Resort for the Value Resort price. Woo Hoo! We took them up on the offer and we were able to stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for the Value Season's Value Resort price.

I think it is best to plan your vacation to be as affordable as possible for everyone. If Disney offers a special deal, like free Disney Dining Plan, then great, more savings for you. However, I would not recommend waiting to plan your vacation for a group this size until offers are released. There are very affordable choices that can be made to make certain that you have a wonderful vacation. Value Season and the Value Resorts are great ways to save on your vacation!
