Are you allowed to wear bathing suits in the parks? I see MK has the splash and soak and AK has Kali river rapids.

    Hi Amanda!

The water rides at the theme parks can feel great on a hot summer's day. Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom and Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom are two of the great ones. Depending on where you sit on Splash Mountain, you may get a little to a lot wet. You have a very good chance of getting soaked on Kali River Rapids which is all part of the fun.

Disney's dress recommendations do not specifically prohibit swim suits from being worn in the theme parks. They ask that Guests use their own discretion and common sense and keep in mind that "attire that is not appropriate for the parks - and which may result in refusal of admittance - includes but is not limited to clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment."

I have seen Guests in swim suits with shorts over them so you can consider that as an option. Here are some other options:

    * Wear clothes made out of light, breathable materials. Being a runner, I've found that moisture-wicking fabrics that are used in a lot of the sports clothing lines work great in the parks. They are lightweight, breathe and dry quickly.

    * Rent a locker and bring a change of clothes. Be sure to bring a Ziploc for your wet ones.

    * Wear a poncho. That takes away part of the fun but at least you don't have to walk around wet. Be sure you stand up and tuck the poncho under you when you sit down or you'll end up with a wet bottom.

    * Make these the last rides of the day before heading out of the parks.

Make sure you bring Ziplocs or something to protect your phones and other electronic devices as well.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions.  We're hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
