Hi, Jeffrey! Thanks for bringing your questions to planDisney!
I am a huge fan of
Happily Ever After! The music, the narration, Tinker Bell flying - all of it! There's something about ending a day at
Magic Kingdom Park with all my favorite characters inspiring me to never give up on my dreams that turns me into an emotional mess. And it appears that I'm not alone, because finding a viewing spot can be a challenge on busy evenings.
You are allowed to have a stroller with you in the hub during Magic Kingdom fireworks. Guests tend to stake out those seats very early, sometimes even hours before the show starts. My experience has been that no matter how early I find my viewing spot, guests crowd around as showtime gets near. It can make viewing difficult for children who are too big to be held up, as well as people who are uncomfortable in large crowds.
There is reserved seating for guests with disabilities on a first-come, first-served basis. The last time I was there, this area was near Casey's Corner, towards The Crystal Palace. People queue up for this space very early, as well. I have a friend who told me they saw a similar but smaller area for those with disabilities in front of the dessert party viewing section.
My favorite way to experience Happily Ever After is with a
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party. I think this is one of the best values at Walt Disney World. You can enjoy drinks, snacks, and desserts before or
after the show (depending on the package you purchase), but the real benefit is the reserved seating in the Plaza viewing area. My friend and fellow panelist,
Allison, recently
answered a question for another guest about this. A Cast Member told her that strollers are not allowed in the reserved seating areas, but my experience has been that they
are permitted. This is one of those situations where the policy may have changed or be unclear.
There's also the
Sweets and Seats experience, where you can remain seated in Tomorrowland Terrace for the duration of Happily Ever After.
If you aren't interested in adding on an experience, consider viewing the fireworks from Storybook Circus in Fantasyland. My family did this a few years ago, and it is a treasured memory. The castle projections are not visible, but the audio is played, and there are great fireworks views. The best part is that there are usually very few people in that area, so it feels especially magical. My kids had so much space that they danced and sang along!
I hope this answers your questions, Jeffrey. It is our joy here at
planDisney to help guests plan their next magical vacation, so if there's anything else we can help with, please come back and see us!
Always Dreaming -
