Hi there, Michael! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with such a great question!
I bet you're getting excited about your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Can you believe it's less than two weeks away? I'm sure you've been looking forward to this special time with your family for quite a while, so I'm so pumped for you to set off on your magical vacation!
My husband often jokes that my eyes are WAY bigger than my stomach, especially when ordering food at a
Walt Disney World restaurant. I like to try lots of different things, especially when there are so many delicious menu items to enjoy and I end up with WAY more food than I could ever actually eat. So, my husband and I have started to switch things up and share a couple of items versus ordering individual entrees for ourselves. I am happy to share that you can absolutely do this at most Walt Disney World restaurants without having to worry about any split plate fee. As you mentioned in your question, the exception here would be those restaurants that are served family-style or All-You-Care-to-Enjoy, where you are charged per person for your meal.
Michael, I just know you're going to have the time of your life, especially since you will be visiting during
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. If you have room for dessert after dinner, I definitely recommend checking out one of the
EARidescent sweet treats available throughout the parks in honor of The World's Most Magical Celebration. I'll be visiting in just a few short days, and I can't wait to try the new Orange and Almond Tart from
Pinocchio Village Haus in
Magic Kingdom park. YUM!
It really is such a special time to be visiting Walt Disney World, and you really can feel the magic in the air from the moment you arrive. So, make sure to take a moment to look around and take it all in. These are memories that will last a lifetime!
Have a magical vacation!
Diana
