Welcome to planDisney, Aundria!
I see you are counting down the WEEKS until your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Woo-hoo! You are going to be in the middle of the magic so soon, and it’s my pleasure to help with your questions so you can finalize your plans and focus on the fun.
I consider dining in Beast’s castle at
Be Our Guest Restaurant a Walt Disney World must-do. I was awe-struck as I saw the setting of my favorite childhood movie come to life inside the castle, with so many delightful Disney details in each room. When dining in the ballroom, I could imagine Belle waltzing past in her iconic yellow gown – just dreamy! Currently, lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant is a Table Service, 3-course prix fixe menu, and sharing a meal is not permitted. Something that might work for you is to make your lunch or dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant your main meal for the day, and then share a Quick-Service meal for your other meal. That way, you can still enjoy all the delicious food without being too full or straining your budget too much. If you do decide to make a reservation to dine in Beast’s Castle, I highly recommend the French Onion Soup!
Moving on to another favorite of mine: Disney popcorn. My family always purchases a refillable popcorn bucket on our visits, and we take advantage of those budget-friendly refills every day, sometimes more than once. Those buckets are good for the length of stay, meaning that buckets from past visits are not eligible for refills. You can purchase a new popcorn bucket from most popcorn carts, and sometimes you’ll find different designs in different theme parks (look for a Star Wars design in Disney’s Hollywood Studios). Currently, when refilling your popcorn bucket, the Cast Member will give you a bag filled with popcorn that you can pour into your bucket; this is a health and safety measure as part of the phased reopening.
Also part of the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, parking trams are currently unavailable. When parking, Guests will be directed to
park with one empty spot between each vehicle, and will need to walk from their parking space to the main entrance of each theme park. I recommend arriving early to find a closer spot; you can also pay a little extra for
Preferred Parking, which offers spots closer to the main gates. I always take a photo of our parking space so I can check my phone at the end of our pixie-dusted day and remember exactly where we parked. If you’ll be a resort hotel Guest, you can also opt to leave the car at your hotel and use
Disney Transportation, which drops you very close to the main entrance of each park.
Thanks for stopping by today, and please come back and see us if we can help with any further questions. As you plan and dream, be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news - it always gets me so excited to taste all the treats and check out the newest experiences. Have a blast, Aundria!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
