Am I allowed to take my service dog in the park with me?

Hiya Pal, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m so glad you stopped by with this thoughtful question. The magical news is that yes, trained service animals are welcome at Walt Disney World Resort! They can join you in the theme parks, Resort hotels, and most public areas. You’ll also find designated relief areas (marked on park maps and in the My Disney Experience app) to make sure your service animal has just as magical a day as you do!

As you plan and prepare for your pixie-dusted visit, here are some important things to keep in mind: For safety reasons, service animals can’t ride on certain attractions. But hakuna matata; no worries! Signs at each entrance will let you know, and a friendly Cast Member will happily walk you through options like Rider Switch or designated waiting areas.

Before your trip, I’d recommend checking out the Services for Guests with Disabilities page on the official Walt Disney World website. It has all the up-to-date details, including relief area locations, so you and your furry sidekick are ready to roll.

I just know you and your service animal are going to make the most magical memories together! Just like Rapunzel had Pascal or Moana had Pua, your service buddy is part of your story, making every step (and paw print!) of your journey even more magical. Be sure to capture that picture-perfect moment in front of Cinderella Castle… it’ll feel like your very own fairytale portrait!

Wishing you the BEST. DAY. EVER.  ~Emille
