Are we allowed to take in our own food and drinks? Along with an ice chest or small cooler?

Hi there Kendra!  Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question!

The great news is that you are able to bring in your own food and beverages to the Disneyland Resort with a few exceptions.  Alcohol, marijuana (including marijuana-enriched products) and any illegal substances are prohibited, as well as glass containers except for baby food containers.  Coolers larger than 6-pack sized are not permitted into the theme parks, but you can store coolers up to 19" wide x 24" high x 31" deep in the rentable jumbo-sized lockers located outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance.  Loose or dry ice is not permitted as well, and reusable ice packs are recommended for coolers.  I always like to review the list of items that are not permitted prior to visiting the theme parks.

We love to bring in snacks to tide us over throughout the day, as well as bottled water or a reusable water bottle.  The snacks can be helpful to get little ones through to their next meal and very handy to have when waiting in line for some of your favorite attractions!  We also love to bring a portable breakfast to eat while we're waiting for the gates to open.  Granola bars, bagels, and cereal in zipper food storage bags are great options for a quick breakfast.

I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip Kendra!  Please do not hesitate to come back to planDisney if we can help with anything else.

    Have a magical day!
