Are we allowed to hike any of the trails in Fort Wilderness at night?

Hi Ruben! Fort Wilderness has become my "home" during our Disney stays since we love to bring out dogs in our motor coach. One of the things I enjoy most is the ability to walk and be in nature after spending busy days in the parks.

The resort itself doesn't have true designated trails. The various loops and areas are linked via sidewalks so you can literally walk anywhere and be safe and off the roads. There are sporadic lights along these walks so you can navigate them at night. Please be aware that this area is also home to many real animals such as deer and armadillo who like to be out and about when the sun goes down. I always suggest walkers take a flashlight which gives them the added light that they might need.

There is a trail that links the Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness but it is not lighted and you wouldn't be able to use that after dark. During the day many bikers and joggers love to use this and it is a nice chance to walk through woods and by the lake at some points. Hope this helps with your planning for your upcoming vacation!
