Hey there, hi there, ho there, Laura, and welcome to planDisney. Did you say explore? Well, you have come to the right place. Fact-finding and advice-giving about Disney vacations are what planDisney panelists like me do best.
All Guests of Walt Disney World Resort, regardless of whether they stay at a
Disney Resort hotel or have a
MagicBand, are welcome to access the magic at all the Resort hotels and
Disney Springs. They may also take advantage of complimentary
Walt Disney World Resort Transporation to get around the entire Resort. There will be certain restricted areas at Resort hotels that are for Guests of that Resort hotel only, such as hotel pools, that require a MagicBand. Recently we stayed off-property and explored all the Resort hotels along the "highway in the sky," the
Walt Disney World Monorail System. It was so fun to jump from one hotel to another and pretend we were at a south Pacific island when we entered the Great Ceremonial House at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and then have a taste of sophistication at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. A fun activity we like to do is to have a small bite to eat or a beverage at each Resort hotel. Just going inside and looking around does not give the same feeling as sitting down and absorbing creativity. Like Russel says from Disney/Pixar's "Up," "the wilderness must be explored."
planDisney Pro Tip: October is a fabulous time of year for two major events:
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. These are "must dos" for me and my crew.
Laura,
please let me know if you have any other questions to help your October Disney adventure dream trip come true.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
