Hello, are we allowed to bring Yeti cups for water? Also are the items at Shades of Green tax free? What do we need to do to make note that we get a room near a family member at the resort?

    Hiya, Kimberly! Welcome to planDisney!

Can you believe that your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is only a few sleeps away?! It won't be long until you're walking right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. and I couldn't be more excited for you! I'd love to help you put the finishing touches of pixie dust on your already-magical vacation. Let me just grab my magic wand...

Got it! As my friend Peter Pan says, "Here we gooo!"

Kimberly, I'm so glad you're thinking ahead about staying hydrated while on your vacation! Walt Disney World Resort brings a lot of fun and a lot of sun, and honestly, I love them both! But the only thing that can be not-so-magical when visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth is getting dehydrated. I'm happy to let you know that you are absolutely able to bring your own food and water into the parks, including your Yeti cup! There are a few restrictions on what you can bring into the parks, including glass bottles, but you shouldn't have any problem with your stainless steel cup (which will keep your water nice and cold!). In fact, most counter-service locations offer complimentary ice water upon request! My best piece of advice would be to take your cup to the parks empty, then fill it up once you're there.

Now, let's talk about Shades of Green! You're sure to have a great time at this beautiful resort, including the magical benefits of Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours! Kimberly, this is a wonderful way to maximize the magic during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Not only that, but tax-free souvenirs purchased at Shades of Green are also offered.

I have a few extra tips for you! First, be sure that you've made your Theme Park Reservations using the Disney Park Pass system before you arrive. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip. Also, take a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app! A little like holding a magic wand in your hand, you'll be able to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. This app has many features, including checking wait times for attractions, viewing park maps, and - my favorite! - mobile ordering food. I love knowing my meals and snacks will be ready for me before I ever feel a rumbly in my tumbly!

I hope I was able to help you today, Kimberly! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
