Hi, there!
Shannon, I'm so excited to hear you're planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. And with
little ones in tow! Your heart will just melt as you watch them experience magic at every turn in the theme parks.
I always pack a well-stocked backpack for my family's adventure-filled days in the theme parks. My youngest is only 3-years old, so I'm sure to have wipes, a change of clothes, and other toddler essentials on hand. I'm happy to tell you that you may certainly take a toddler fork and spoon set into the theme parks with you! I recommend packing a small container of dish detergent and several gallon-sized Ziploc resealable bags. When your little ones are done with their silverware, you can just toss those items into a Ziploc bag and wash them when you get back to your hotel room! From wet clothing to dirty silverware, those bags come in handy for all sorts of reasons. I've even used them to store popcorn that we didn't finish before leaving the theme park! I usually pack a whole box in my suitcase, and then place three or four of them in my park backpack each morning of our stay.
Keep in mind that
your park backpack will be thoroughly searched when you go through security at each of the four theme parks. I try to make sure that my items are as visible and accessible as possible to make that process quick and easy!
If you're traveling with small kiddos, you most definitely need a stroller. Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking and those little legs tire quickly!
Strollers are available to rent at each of the theme parks and Disney Springs, but I prefer to bring our personal stroller from home.
If you choose to bring your own stroller, just be sure that it's no larger than 31" in width and 52" in length.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Shannon. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have! We'd love to help you plan a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
