Ahoy, Yasmin!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re
working on that packing checklist and want to make sure you’ve got everything shipshape before that glorious embarkation day—so let’s dive right in and make sure nothing sinks your plans.
The good news is, you can absolutely bring your prescription medication on your Disney cruise. To keep things smooth sailing at the terminal, I recommend keeping all prescriptions in their original labeled containers. If you’re like me and prefer a pill organizer, save that step for once you’re onboard. Since Disney Cruise Line reserves the
right to secure anything that isn’t properly labeled, you’ll want to avoid the risk of a Cast Member thinking your medicine looks more like Ursula’s potion bottles than your daily must-haves.
Another important tip: always keep your important
medications in your carry-on bag rather than your checked luggage. Sometimes checked bags take a little while to arrive at your stateroom, and you don’t want to be stuck waiting if you need your medicine right away. I also like to pack my family’s passports (or other travel documents), Port Arrival Form, sunscreen, swimsuits (for that very first splash on
the AquaDuck or
AquaMouse), and DisneyBand+ in our carry-on so we’re ready to hit the fun as soon as we board.
I hope this helps give you peace of mind as you get ready for your adventure on the high seas. With a little planning, you’ll be all set to enjoy every magical moment—whether you’re soaking up the sun, savoring the sweets, or dancing with Mickey under the stars.
Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
Dustin
