Welcome aboard planDisney, Jake! It sounds like you’re gearing up for an incredible adventure to the Last Frontier aboard the
Disney Wonder. I’d be happy to help you stay connected as you prepare for this magical sailing.
One reason I used to love cruising so much was that I could completely disconnect, and people (especially work colleagues) knew they wouldn’t be able to reach me during my vacation. But you and I both know that’s no longer the case. While it’s nice to step away from the office and social media, I also understand the need to stay connected at times.
With that in mind, you are welcome to bring your own portable hotspot onboard, as long as you understand that
connectivity is not guaranteed. I suggest speaking to your phone and internet provider before your trip to see what their coverage is like in
Alaska and what additional charges you might incur.
Another option to consider is one of the two
Internet Packages available through Disney Cruise Line. One offers a more basic internet connection, while the other includes streaming so you can access sites like YouTube, Disney+, ESPN+, and Netflix. How you choose to surf is entirely up to you. Both packages can be purchased by navigating to the “Connect to the Internet” option once onboard in your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
What an unforgettable journey you are sure to have at sea, Jake. I hope this helps you feel more prepared as you get ready to explore the beauty of Alaska with Captain Mickey and crew! If you think of any other questions before you set sail, we’d love to see you again at
planDisney. From one Tennessean to another, I’m wishing you smooth seas and spectacular scenery every step of the way!
Anchors aweigh,
Sami
