Are you still allowed to bring your personal gas golf carts to fort wilderness? I heard a rumor that only electric is allowed now? Can you please confirm? Thanks!

    Hiya Jennifer,

Welcome to planDisney! My family and I just visited Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground to enjoy the absolutely incredible Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. We loved how beautiful the resort was and are adding it to our wish list of where to stay next. While there, I did notice several Guests in golf carts but admittedly didn’t make a note of whether they were gas or electric.

Luckily, one of our friendly Cast Members was able to help me find the answer you seek. While all of the rental golf carts are electric, your personal one does not need to be. You can still bring your personal gas golf cart with you during your stay. Just make sure that your golf cart is equipped with head and tail lights and is not an off-road, ATV, utility or construction-type cart, and you are good to go. Be sure to take a look at the golf cart rules and regulations when you arrive at Fort Wilderness, and most importantly, have an incredible time!

If there is anything else you need, Jennifer, please come back and see us!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
