Ahoy, Larry, and welcome aboard planDisney!
Straight and to-the-point, I like the cut of your jib, sailor - and with only a day to go until you arrive, I'll do the same!
While there is no shortage of
incredible lounges, nightclubs, pool bars, and other watering holes on the
Disney Cruise Line ships, there's something about being able to guarantee at least a few of your favorite beverages will be on the ship to make your vacation as good as finding buried treasure!
The
Disney Cruise Line Alcohol Policy allows Guests 21 years and older to bring a maximum of two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. Now, it's important to note that these beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage, so if you're planning on picking a few up today for your embarkation tomorrow, be sure to leave room in your carry-on!
Remember, that's per
Port of Call, so if you'd like to re-supply yourself, you are more than welcome to as long as the beverages comply with the policy. My wife and I like to hop off the ship in port and grab something local to enjoy on our verandah as we pull away to our next destination!
Oh, and if you are planning on purchasing any duty-free sprits or beer and wine in excess of the limits, they will be stored for you until the end of the cruise! And don't forget that you can purchase adult beverages through
Onboard Gifts that will be ready and waiting for you in your stateroom when you embark, too!
Well, Larry, I hope that gives you enough time to make a quick run to stock-up before you embark! Here's to life, the sea, and an incredible vacation for you and your crew! Thank you for sending your message in - or should I say, "about" - a bottle my way! If you have any other questions, you can always drop me a line here at planDisney!
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Andrew
