Am I allowed to bring a microwave oven with me to Pop Century since the food court no longer has those available to guests?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Catherine!

There are a lot of those little details that need to be arranged when planning a visit to Walt Disney World, so I'm glad that you asked!

Several Walt Disney World Resort hotels offer rooms that include in-room kitchenettes--which feature a microwave--but rooms at Disney's Pop Century Resort are not among them. Those that do so include Disney Deluxe Villas, The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and Family Suites at locations such as Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and Disney's All-Star Music Resort.

For your stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, you will not be able to bring any sort of cooking apparatus, including a microwave, as these present a fire hazard. However, with a little creative thinking, you may be able to enjoy just about anything you could have heated in a microwave, but instead find something similar--and special--nearby.

Take a look at the menu at Everything POP Shopping & Dining, and you may find everything you need right there. For easy early morning breakfasts back at your room, consider picking up oatmeal, a Ham and Cheese Omelet, or a Chipotle Seitan and Vegetable Sauté, then bringing them back to those who needed to sleep in a bit longer. Instead of popping popcorn back at your resort for a late night snack, pick up some delicious park-popped popcorn on your way "home" and enjoy alongside your beverage of choice in your Resort Refillable Mug.

When I do this, I ask for items to-go or for additional plates to keep items warm on the quick walk back to our room. Bringing a small, reusable thermal bag will help maintain the temp of your treats, too.

As you plan those extra-special details for your upcoming trip, Catherine, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
