Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel,
Avery!
Bringing your own glow sticks and illuminated toys into the theme parks is a great way to save some money while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. As little ones wait along Main Street U.S.A. in anticipation of a fantastic parade or in the Castle Forecourt counting down the moments until
Happily Ever After, it's easy for them to become mesmerized by the eye-catching light-up toys for sale in Magic Kingdom Park. If you have prepared in advance by bringing your own, previously purchased glow sticks and toys with you, your children will be delighted by the surprise and you'll likely be proud of the money you have saved. Just be prepared to show your items to security as you enter the theme park earlier in the day.
Normally I would say the bubble-maker should be fine too. However, any object - even a toy - can be denied admission if it resembles a weapon. Among the
list of prohibited items, you will find "weapons of any kind, objects that appear to be weapons or toy guns (also including toy blasters, squirt guns, etc.)." If there's any chance your bubble-maker could be misconstrued as a sword, I'd leave it at home. Could you bring a small bottle of bubble soap with a wand instead? That would likely be less expensive and lighter to carry. I would put it in a Ziploc bag, however, to make sure it doesn't spill in your bag.
Your family is in for such an amazing vacation! Do let us know if there are any other questions that arise as you plan and pack for your adventures at The Most Magical Place on Earth. We'd be happy to provide any advice you may need.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Jill
