Hi Sharon, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending us more great questions as you plan your spring visit to Walt Disney World Resort! May is one of my favorite times of the year for a Disney vacation, so you have some true magic in store!
I’m happy to share with you that bringing food and drinks into the theme parks is allowed. For a list of what is prohibited, check out the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. It’s important to note that, while most food and drinks are allowed, there are a few that are not. Alcoholic drinks are prohibited, although there are options available for purchase in the theme parks if you would like to enjoy an adult beverage. Also, glass containers are not allowed, with the exception of small jars for items such as baby food. Coolers larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high are also not permitted, nor is dry ice.
When you head back to your resort hotel, get ready for a groovy trip through the decades at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort! As a child of the '80s, I’m a bit partial to the larger-than-life Rubik’s cube and Walkman. They bring back lots of memories of the decade when I took my first Disney vacation!
The Preferred rooms at Pop Century are located in the '50s buildings (1 and 3), '60s buildings (4 and 5), and '70s buildings (6 and 10). Preferred Pool View rooms are located in the '60s buildings (4 and 5). My friends
Kurt and
Allison recently stopped by Pop Century to create a resort video guide. I’ve linked it for you, so you can take a look and get excited for your stay!
Sharon, I hope you make memories in the theme parks and at Pop Century that you’ll be talking about for decades to come! If you have any more questions as you plan your visit, be sure to stop back by and see us here at planDisney. We’re always happy to add extra magic to your Disney vacation planning!
Peace, love, & pixie dust,
Casey
