Are you allowed to bring electric fridge coolers to have in your hotel room? I know the rooms have the beverage coolers, but dont know that those are food safe. We eat a mostly low sodium due to health issues and are trying to find a solution. thanks!

Hi there, Rebecca, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited that you've reached out with this great question about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. It sounds like you're in the process of planning and thinking about important details like what to pack to ensure a perfect visit.

Rebecca, your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room will be equipped with a small beverage cooler that cools to 41 degrees Fahrenheit. It's approximately 18 inches wide, by 25 inches high, by 22 inches deep. This is great for beverages and food items that need to stay cool. For safety reasons, guests are not allowed to bring additional appliances like refrigerators and microwaves to their room. Happily, I might have a solution for you! There are coolers that guarantee your items stay very cold for days - you might consider bringing one of those and using the ice machine at your resort to fill it up and keep things cold.

One of the things I love most about dining at Walt Disney World Resort is the way Cast Members do all they can to accommodate special dietary requests. My advice to you, if you're trying to maintain a certain diet, is to check restaurant menus ahead of time on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. These are subject to change, so feel free to ask a Cast Member for clarification if you need it. You can also review the Special Dietary Requests page for helpful information.

Rebecca, I hope you have a lovely visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please stop back by planDisney with any other vacation planning questions you have! If you need recommendations on thrill rides or where to find a fun adult beverage, you have a friend in me!

    See you real soon!
