Are you allowed to bring collapsible stools into the parks, for when you are standing in the long lines for the rides?

Hi, Shannon, and a very warm welcome to planDisney! Sounds like you might be preparing for a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and I couldn't be more thrilled for you. It's been such a magical place for me and my family, where troubles seem far away!

Thank you for asking this great question, Shannon. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed that collapsible chairs, even very small ones, are not permitted in the theme parks, with only the exception of cane-chair and seat-walker mobility aids.

Disneyland does provide mobility devices for rent, if that could be of support to you, Shannon, including ECVs and manual wheelchairs. Plan to arrive early at the Stroller Shop just outside the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, as a limited number of ECVs and wheelchairs are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. The Stroller Shop usually opens one hour prior to park opening, but please be aware that hours are subject to change without notice. Hope that's helpful!

My family loves to zip past lines on popular attractions by utilizing Lightning Lanes throughout the day when we're in the parks. No time to sit down! Just make sure, if you have Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you are reserving a return time for an attraction every two hours or after you've scanned in for your Lightning Lane, whichever comes first. This way you'll maximize your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and experience more on your Disneyland day.

In addition to Lightning Lanes, the best strategy to avoid lines, in my experience, has been getting an early start to our day. The first few hours the park is open are ideal for lower crowds and lower waits for attractions. I recommend arriving to the main gates at least 45 minutes before official park opening time - which will likely be 8am but double check the Hours & Events Calendar for the day of your visit. There's a pretty good chance you could knock out a handful of your top priority attractions within the first couple hours the park is open, with very little wait!

I hope I was able to provide some helpful information for you, Shannon, even if it might not be quite the answer you were hoping for! As you continue to prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, please don't hesitate to come back and ask us another question! We'd love to share more of our tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe where to find the best Disneyland snacks or some strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities.

    See you real soon!

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
