Ahoy Richard - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for swimming by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical,
Disney Cruise Line adventures!
Richard, I love that you've already done your homework on this important topic and that you have a broad palate when it comes to adult beverages! Each adult Guest over the age of 21 is invited to bring up to two bottles of wine or six beers on board at the beginning of your sailing and at ports of call. Just note that there may be additional guidelines for certain itineraries or ports of call. Just be sure to
review the rules as well as any documentation you receive from Disney Cruise Line in advance of Embarkation Day!
Your alcoholic beverages can be individual cans or bottles, and they don't all have to be packaged together. The "original container" requirement refers to the bottles or cans being unopened and sealed. While the policy wording doesn't appear to be updated, in my experience, I have not been limited strictly to beer. For our crew, anything that's similar in volume and alcohol content, such as hard seltzers, canned cocktails, and other malt beverages, has been allowed. As long as you stay away from a can of straight vodka, I think you'll be good, but as always, the Cast Members at the Port have the final say. Be sure you pack any alcoholic (or non-alcoholic) beverages in your carry-on luggage!
I hope this information helps your planning efforts –
stop by any time with additional questions! Oh, and before I forget, make sure to check out all the magical excitement surrounding the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet –
the upcoming Disney Treasure!Bon voyage!
