How can I allow a friends and family member to make plans for me?

    Hi there, Patricia!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney where we know the people on your Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account are the very best kind of 'ohana. Since you're headed with them to Walt Disney World Resort in June, it's clear you also think they are worth melting for, so let's get y'all planning!

In order to manage or share plans with a fellow Mouseketeer, you'll need to connect your accounts as Family & Friends, a process that can be completed on the Walt Disney World website or in the My Disney Experience mobile app. In your web browser, you'll navigate to the Walt Disney World Resort website and log in to your My Disney Experience account. Under the 'My Disney Experience' tab near the upper right-hand side of the screen, select 'My Family & Friends' and 'Add a Guest'. From there, you'll be able to send invitations, but the Guest(s) you're connecting with will need to accept it for the connection to become active. In the app, you'll begin the process by selecting the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the screen and then choosing 'My Profile'. You can manually send a link by selecting 'Add a Guest' under the 'Family & Friends List' heading, or if you choose 'Show my Linking Code' under the 'My Profile' heading a QR code will populate that can be scanned by another Guest to link the two of you. In my opinion, this is the most convenient method, so if you happen to be with your planning party I would suggest utilizing this handy tool that feels like magic!

Did you know you can view and edit your current Family & Friends List at any time in your My Disney Experience account? If you'd like to ensure your travel party can make plans on your behalf, you can view and manage the individual privacy settings and planning capabilities of the people on your List by selecting the 'Settings' button beside each name. If connected and sharing plans, any Walt Disney World reservations that include you as a member of the party will show up in your mobile app regardless of who made the reservation! My husband and I love how efficiently this enables us to make or edit dining reservations and Lightning Lane entries together while in the middle of the magic.

I hope this was helpful, Patricia! If you have any technical difficulties with the process, I suggest reaching out to a helpful Cast Member on the My Disney Experience Team, but if you have additional planning questions or need further clarification on the process from me, you're welcome to stop back by! I'm happy to help!
