    Hello all, Myself son and a few friends will be going to Disney Aug 19-26,2011. Since 2011 will be Disney's 40 year;s since opening in 1971 will they be doing anything special? Thank You for your help. 

    Hi there David!

    That is a great question! As of right now, the only celebration Walt Disney World has planned is the "Making Memories" promotion. I believe as time nears the actual date of the anniversary which is October 1st, they will be releasing more information about any upcoming promotions. I'm sure there will be something Grand planed because as we all know, Disney loves to throw Parties!

    I hope you and your family have a Magical Stay in August and keep checking the Moms Panel website and the Disney website for any 40th Anniversary information which may be posted!
