Hi Allison, So good to see you back! If I am travelling with someone who uses a wheelchair, how can I find out which attractions require you to transfer out of the chair and which ones allow you to remain in the chair? Thanks!

    Hi Shannon!

Thank you so much for your kind words! This is certainly one of my happy places.

Disney World is a great place to travel for those with mobility disabilities and they try to make it as accessible as possible for Guests to safely enjoy.  There are a couple of ways to find out ahead of time which attractions require guests to transfer from their wheelchairs to board.

You can visit the section on the Disney World Website for Mobility Disabilities. That will list the attractions at each park that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs or must transfer to experience.

You can also go to the Disney World Website and select a park from the drop down menu. From there, click on the "Attractions" option. You will see 4 filters that you can choose from regarding attractions. Select "Accessibility and Advisories" on the top right. You can select the option for "Must Be Ambulatory" to see which attractions require Guests to transfer.

Once you arrive at the parks, your park Guide Maps will also list any Attraction Info icons beside each attraction that will indicate which ones require Guests to transfer.  I think you're smart to plan ahead though. The more time I spend planning before my trip, the more time I'll have to just relax and enjoy it once I'm there.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions.  We're hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-)  Allison
