Hi Allison, My sister and I will be visiting all 4 parks with our kids, at DW in Feb. We have only 4 days but have park hoppers for each of the parks and a meal plan. Please recommend how best to visit the parks, when/where to eat, must sees, etc. Thx

    Hello Cola,

Wow, this is my favorite kind of question and I hope I can give you some great tips before I run out of room! Since you only have 4 days and there are 4 parks, my biggest advice is to have a plan of action and take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours if you are staying on property. We always ask each of our children what their top 2-3 must do rides or attractions are and plan around those! That way you make sure those have priority as you go around the parks. I would definitely plan for a full day at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Our family usually only does a half day in Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, but that is simply due to our kids' interests!  There is so much to see in all the parks, that a day in each could be ideal for your family.  Since I am not sure of the ages of your kids, I would recommend getting a guide book such as Birnbaum's Walt Disney World for Kids. This book is one of our favorites giving emphasis on traveling with all age groups of children and what attractions are best suited for each stage. The pictures are colorful and the ride descriptions are spot-on in my opinion.

I would also recommend eating at off-peak times as to avoid longer lines and waits. For example, plan to eat lunch around 11 before the lunch crowd or have an early dinner around 4:30pm or a late one at 7:45/8:00pm. We tend to eat earlier since I still have young kids. Another great benefit of eating early or late is that you will be able to see attractions when most guests are eating their meals. Some of my favorite restaurants are the Biergarten and Coral Reef in Epcot, Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom, 50s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios, and Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. Don't forget about dining at the resorts, too. Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge or Beaches and Cream at Yacht and Beach Club Resort.

Have a magical vacation. It'll be here before you know it!
