Hi Allison, I've seen your answers about the Pirates and Pals Voyage. Do you know if they can accommodate guests in wheelchairs? Thanks!

    Ahoy there Lisa!

I have found WDW to be a very friendly place for Guests w/ all types of special needs & this holds very true for the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage as well. Their watercraft team is extremely helpful w/ strollers, wheelchairs & ECVs & have a ramp they put down to get them on board.

They have 2 boats that sail for the voyage & there is a platform in the back of each boat w/ a single companion seat & space for a wheelchair/ECV beside it. Guests have the option of remaining in their wheelchair/ECV or transferring to a seat on the boat. If Guests transfer, the crew will park their wheelchairs in the area w/ all of the strollers. They can accommodate up to 2 Guests per boat that wish to remain in their wheelchairs/ECVs. If they have more than 2 Guests staying in their wheelchairs/ECVs on a boat, they can move a group to the other boat to make sure everyone is accommodated.

When making reservations, be sure to mention to the reservation agent that you will have a member of your party in a wheelchair/ECV & whether or not they will transfer for the voyage. If they do not wish to transfer, they will try to assign the back rows of the boat so that your group will still be together (don't worry - Patch moves around the boat & all of the seats offer an excellent view of the fireworks). The more info you give them when making your reservation, the better prepared the P&P crew will be to accommodate your needs.

Please let me know if you have any further questions about any other special needs you may have during the P&P Fireworks Voyage. It is one of my favorite ways to see the fireworks at MK & I know you'll have an awesome time! Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
