Hi Allison, Another Q for you! We will be in WDW aug & have 3 children 7,5,2. I am having trouble fitting Downtown Disney into our week. Can we see it in a few hours? If so I can keep ADR to MBBBQ, don't want to cancel, its just our only free day!

    Hi Michelle,

Great to hear from you again! DTD is pretty big & is broken up into 3 main sections, West Side, Pleasure Island & the Market Place. At West Side, you'll find entertainment options such as AMC Theaters, DisneyQuest & Cirque Du Soleil. Pleasure Island is more of a festive pub & restaurant atmosphere.  Market Place contains more shops & restaurants. There is also a little train, carrousel & water fountain for the little ones to play in.

You can honestly make DTD a quick trip to do a few things with your family or plan to visit for several hours. Your kids will likely love the Lego Imagination Center & Once Upon Toy. There are some fun dining experiences at DTD for younger kids (i.e., Rain Forest Cafe & T-Rex cafe - reservations are recommended for both).  I love Characters in Flight !

If I had to choose between MBBBQ & more time at DTD, I'd go with MBBBQ. Your kids will love it!  Dancing with the characters is so much fun! The food is awesome!  Don't cancel MBBBQ. You can do your shopping in the theme parks.  While there are some unique experiences at DTD, you can do those on your next trip. Your small kids will love MBBBQ & its so amazing . Capture that magical while you have it.

A quick tip about MBBBQ - when the characters 1st come out - every kid rushes up to them at the same time - that is followed by their parents trying to get pictures - quite the little chaos.  Not to worry - it calms down after a few minutes. In addition to the main dance floor, there are 2 little ones on the sides.  Also keep your eye to the area just outside of the pavillion (Stage Left). During breaks the characters will often go there for photo ops for kids.

Please feel free to come back with more questions! Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
