Hi Allison, Ty for answering my ? about my daughters with Autism. We just got back from our trip yesterday, We had an amazing time. Your suggestion about the comfort items helped a lot. I am planing a 2nd trip w/ the girls. When is the best time to go?

    Hi Teresa,

You are so very welcome! I'm thrilled to hear you had an amazing time - I just knew you would!

Love that you're planning another trip already! Can you go back now? September is traditionally a great month to visit with the exception of Labor Day weekend because most schools are back in session.

You may be limited in travel dates because of your daughters being in school. If their schedules are flexible, January - mid-February is also a good time to visit. Crowds calm down after classes resume following the Christmas/New Year's break. You will want to avoid MLK holiday weekend, the WDW Marathon Weekend scheduled for Jan. 6th - 9th, 2011, President's Day weekend & the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend scheduled for Feb 25th - 27th, 2011.

Spring breakers usually start coming early March - mid-April & you should expect huge crowds at Easter. The beginning of May isn't usually so bad but gets more crowded as the month goes on. Expect a lot of people during Star Wars Weekends & Memorial Day weekend.

The crowds come at the beginning of June when school is out - the heat also comes. If heat is an issue your daughters have a hard time dealing with - avoid the summer months.

Crowds thin out the third week of August up until the week before Thanksgiving. The exception you may find is at Epcot during the International Food & Wine Festival. Its a super fun event & its popularity grows each year. The first two weeks of December is usually a great time to visit.

Whenever you plan, keep in mind that any time during a holiday is going to be more crowded. Also check the calendar for special events being held as well - crowds will be higher during those times.

Remember, when you start planning your next trip, we're here for you! Wishing you more magical memories  on your next trip :-) Allison
